Kiteboarder – Intermediate Course

Learn to harness the power of your kite in the water!

It is time to get in the water and attempt your first water start with your IKO Instructor. You will now put your skills to the test and experience the full potential of the wind. You will learn to use the kite power to body drag in all possible directions, water relaunch your kite, self rescue, recover your board; and become proficient enough to begin riding on your own!

Kiteboarder – Independent Course

Ride independently and learn a few tricks like your first jump!

It’s time to become an independent rider and the more you learn, the more passionate you will become about kiteboarding! On this course, your IKO Instructor will show you how to ride upwind, toe-side,, and help you focus on higher skills like controlling your speed by edging, changing direction without stopping, self-launching and self-landing safely. As an independent rider, you’ll be able to ride on your own and rent equipment wherever you go.

Kiteboarder – Advanced Course

Reach new possibilities!

You are ready to become more advanced and ready to learn more about the art of kiteboarding! Learn to master riding in all directions as well as basic jumping techniques! Learn how to help your friends with board recovery! Your IKO instructor will show various techniques like how to jump with grab, jibe and how to rescue another rider and his board. Theoretical topics will include how to better assess your riding location, kiteboarding safety and more about how to tune your kite.

Spice up your riding!

You progressed to a point where you are proficient though still hungry for more. You want to perform tricks while flying, explore coastlines around the world and loop yourself around! This Freeride course will teach you all that and more; this is the next step for you to ride blind, aerial transitions, back-rolls, downwinder preparation, other hooked tricks and surface loops!
